Born and raised in Toronto, Amanda has called picturesque Wakefield, Quebec home since 1994. Amanda has a background in corporate sales with the private sector and a long history of volunteerism at both the grassroots and board levels. Her many volunteer activities have included work with the United Way, Big Sisters and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Most recently, Amanda has focused her volunteer efforts on community-based initiatives, serving on the boards of the Wakefield Youth Centre and the Wakefield-La Pêche Community Centre Co-operative. Amanda also represents her municipality as a Commissioner for the Western Quebec School Board.
Amanda is married to Marc, an archivist with the Library and Archives Canada, who is also a committed volunteer. They have 2 very energetic daughters, Molly & Charlotte, who keep them on their toes. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys being at her cottage with a good book.
